Fairview Children's Ministry

 

What do we believe about Children's Ministry?
Proverbs 22:6 says, "Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will
not depart from it."  The Children's Ministry of Fairview Baptist is dedicated to partnering
with families as they lay a spiritual foundation for their children.  We believe children matter
to God and we seek to help lead every child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Our goal is to help each child discover their unique plan that God has for their life.  We do
this by creating an environment that teaches children to reach high, and climb hard to reach
the Summit before they enter into our youth group.

Children’s Schedule
-Sunday School, 9:15 a.m. on Sunday
-Graded Children Choirs, 5:00 p.m. on Sunday
-RA’s and GA’s Children Mission Organizations, 6:00 p.m. on Sunday during the school year.
-Summit Worship, 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday

What is the Summit?
We want every child to have he opportunity to grow physically, emotionally and spiritually at
their own unique pace.  We have biblical goals set for every child to reach before they enter
into our youth group.  When a child starts in the children's department as a first grader, we
will begin building upon the foundation that was laid through our preschool ministries and
continue to build upon that foundation until they reach sixth grade.  We want our sixth graders
to be ready emotionally, physically, and spiritually when they reach the top of the Summit for
their next adventure in life, which is the Ozone Student Ministry.

    Support all members of the family towards Christian
        growth spiritually, emotionally, and physically to a 
        deeper life with Jesus Christ.

    Unite together for times of fun and fellowship.

    Make disciples by teaching biblically sound doctrine,
        modeling prayer, personal and corporate Bible study
        through all that we do.

    Minister to people in our community, state, nation
         and world through missions opportunities.

    Involve children in worship by creating opportunities
       for them to participate and lead in children's
       worship as well as corporate worship with the entire
       church body.

    Train parents, grandparents, teachers, and leaders how
        to raise children who love the Lord with all of their
        heart, soul, mind, and strength.
