Pastoral Team
What is a Pastor or Minister? Have you ever wondered? What makes them chose their profession? Is it something in how they were raised, a life event? Perhaps a higher calling... we believe our Pastors are called by God to do his work. Come visit our church if you see one of our Pastors introduce yourself as a visitor.
Lead Pastor - Dr. Steve Patton

My wife, Lesa, and I are both from Kennett, a small town in the Bootheel of Missouri. The town is probably most famous for Sheryl Crow, but I think it’s famous for Bill’s Bar-B-Q and Causbie’s Bakery. We have two children: Andrew and Stephanie, who are students at North Greenville University. I am a graduate of the Baptist College of Florida and received my Master of Divinity and Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. I also serve as an adjunct professor of New Testament and Preaching at North Greenville University.
In my spare time (right!), I listen to my MP3 (70s only!), still play guitar a little, and suffer over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Dr. Tom Burns - Worship Pastor

My wife, Joyce, and I were born in South Carolina, she is from Greenwood and I was born in Greenville. We meet in Greenville at Wade Hampton High School in chorus which I think is great for a musician. God has blessed us with two children: Myra who married Bobby and Ryan whose wife is also named Ryan Keli. They have given us three grandchildren; Brady, Fran and Jackson. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina and received my Master of Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. I earned my Doctorate in Worship Studies at The Institute for Worship Studies in Jacksonville, Florida. I also serve as an adjunct professor in the Fine Arts College of North Greenville University.
When I have spare time I like to work with wood and read. I enjoy my family and being a grandfather.

Rev. Chet Andrews Student Pastor

My beautiful bride Hope and I married in May of 1994 and have three children and one on the way. Jake is 8, Jonah is 6, Faith is 4 and Joshua is due in January of 2009. Hope is a stay at home mom and works part time at Fairview Baptist Church in our Weekday Preschool Ministry. I am passionate about student ministry. I desire for students to have a thinking person's faith, a Christian worldview, and a burden for those who may not know Christ personally yet.
I enjoy hiking, weight lifting, reading, and playing with my children. I also love 80’s music, Mexican food, the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Atlanta Braves.
I am a Graduate of The University of South Carolina and I have my Master of Divinity degree from Gardner-Webb University's School of Divinity.
