August 2010 Update

It sure is a HOT summer and August may be the hottest of all!  Everyone take care of yourself!!  Thanks for your continued attendance and help in our many projects---WMU projects, coming to the aid of some of our members with taking in meals, phone calls, cards, carpooling, snacks, making coffee, emailing, etc.  Isn’t it wonderful to be Sisters in Christ!!  Quite a Sisterhood!!

Bible Study – Ginger is continuing her excellent study of the parables!!  I have heard these parables all my life but she brings out teachings from them that are all new to me.  Come and learn what Christ was teaching us thru these parables.

Class Meeting---On Monday Aug. 9th at 7 pm we will meet at the Ministry House for our WMU, Prayer, and planning time.  August is when we elect new officers so come with your ideas!!  Some of us meet for supper at Clock Express at 6 if you care to join us.

Out to Eat – On Thursday, August 19th we will MEET at Ruby Tuesdays on Wade Hampton in Taylors at 6 pm.  If anyone needs a ride, just let us know!!  

Chat and Chew – On Saturday, Aug. 28th we will meet at the Ministry House for Chat and Chew!!  Bring one of your favorite dishes and we will just sit around and chat and chew!!  Bring friends and prospects!!
 
 Other opportunities ---Please remember Hour of Encouragement on Wed. nights at 7 pm.  Many of us have found this to be an excellent Bible Study and Prayer Time mid-week. Be sure and see Reminder about  Young at Heart activities and Bible Studies offered the end of August. 
 

WMU Mission Project for August –Cleaning Supplies for Greer Relief---Deadline is August 22nd in Collection Boxes in Atrium.
